Built-in activation guide
Set up no-root Android gamepad mapping without installing Shizuku
Axis Gamepad Pro includes a built-in Axis Shizuku API path so Android can grant the system access required for controller-to-touch mapping without full device root. The separate Shizuku app remains optional for users who prefer a manual setup path.
Setup Steps
- 1. Use built-in activation. Open Axis and use the built-in Axis Shizuku API setup path. You do not need to install the separate Shizuku app for the standard flow.
- 2. Join the closed test. Email contact@axisgamepad.com with your Google Play email, then install from the Play Store listing after tester access is granted.
- 3. Grant Axis permission. Open Axis and approve the permission request so the app can use the no-root system path.
- 4. Connect your controller. Use USB for the most stable competitive setup, or Bluetooth for convenience.
- 5. Create a game profile. Place touch controls, tune gyro aim, and save the layout for the game.
Best First Test
Open a training range or practice mode, verify stick movement, then tune gyro aim before using a profile in live matches.
Optional External Shizuku
If you choose the separate Shizuku app path, that service may need to be started again after a phone reboot.
